Recording cash, check, Venmo & other payments

Not every tenant pays online. When you receive rent as cash, a check, Venmo, Zelle, or a money order, you can record it so your books and the tenant's history stay accurate.

Record an offline payment

1. 1On the Payments page, find the charge and click Manual.
2. 2Confirm the amount and mark it paid.
3. 3The charge shows as Paid and the tenant gets a receipt — no online processing fee, since you collected it yourself.

Tip: recording offline payments still keeps your income reports and tax export accurate, so you have one clean record of every rent payment however it was made.
