Canceling your subscription or deleting your account
The difference between canceling (reversible) and deleting (permanent), and how to do each safely.
These are two different things. Canceling stops billing but keeps your data. Deleting permanently removes your account. Cancel if you might come back; delete only if you're sure.
Cancel your subscription (reversible)
- 1Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription → Cancel Subscription.
- 2You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, then the account goes read-only.
- 3Your data is preserved — reactivate anytime from the Pricing page to pick up where you left off.
While a subscription is inactive, automatic rent collection is paused so no new charges go out. We'll email you about it.
Delete your account (permanent)
- 1Go to Settings → Danger Zone. We recommend clicking Export data first to download a copy of your properties, tenants, leases, and payments.
- 2Click Delete my account and type DELETE to confirm.
- 3This cancels your subscription, turns off your tenants' autopay, and schedules the account for permanent deletion.
You have a 30-day grace period to change your mind — log in and click Restore on the banner. After 30 days the account and personal data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Good to know
- Tenants' saved payment methods are removed when you delete, so no one can be charged into a closed account.
- If a tenant payment is still processing, deletion is blocked until it settles — so money in transit is never lost.
- Completed payment records may be retained where required by tax or landlord-tenant law, even after deletion.
